Kenton and I were married on Renaissance Fair weekend nine years ago. Yesterday, we found a festival in Cambridge, NZ that suited our celebratory purposes.
It was exquisite autumn day. The golds and pinks—amazingly! Buskers, buskers everywhere. And old cars—they’re crazed about vintage cars here. Dubbed the City of Trees, Cambridge feels like a hybridized version of Moscow, Idaho. At last, Kenton finally tasted the Mr. Whippy Ice Cream he’s been pining for.
Just for the heck of it, we traveled on to Matamata (aka Hobbiton), where I communed with my inner Gollum. It’s being refurbished as the film location for The Hobbit in 2011.
